Marketing with Twitter

Twitter isn’t just a popular way to let your followers know the latest thought to your mind, it’s also a great way to marketing your site, products and brand to new customers and new audiences.

Twitter is used by all types of people across the planet. Connecting people in real-time, you can tweet on your mobile phone or online, which means that information can be constantly and immediately shared.

Using Twitter to build your brand, share information and market your company is a great way to use social media to its full advantage. First, consider your business. What is your brand? Who is your customer? Tools to advance their careers? Personal satisfaction? Enlightenment?
Once you’ve got a complete sense of brand and business image, you’ll be able to use Twitter to showcase your services. The key to marketing is messaging. What type of email newsletters get a response? What are your site gets the most attention? This will inform you as to what your customers prefer, and you can use that to shape your Twitter marketing plan.

You can convert that to Twitter by creating ‘Tweet Tips’ and encourage your users to sign up to follow you on Twitter by sending a tip a day. You can include a link to your site or an affiliate link that’s related to the tip.
This will cement for your users your credibility as a source of information and expertise.
If it’s the latest niche news that gets you traffic, tweeting relevant headlines and links to articles, and blog posts will show how up-to-date and relevant your business is.
It’s another way you are providing your customers with a service and building trust in your brand as a source of knowledge.
Watch the response to your tweets to see if you are tweeting too much, or can tweet some more. Start slow, but stay regular. After all, reliability is an important and profitable attribute. Using Twitter to marketing your business can show how reliable and accessible your brand really is!
